Brittany Vega is a southern born multi-media artist working in Portland, Oregon. Her interests are centered on drawing, printmaking, and the life of objects while focusing on process exploration through materials. Her work reveals intersections of homes as evidence of our migratory relationship with lands and the multicultural experiences that one manifests. She draws inspiration from heirlooms and what objects as material lend to stories of the fusion of oneself.
She has exhibited nationally and led multiple curatorial projects in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2016 she was accepted as a fellow in Kansas City’s Mid-America Arts Alliance incubator, Artist Inc Live. Vega received her BFA from Memphis College of Art and is a current MFA candidate in the Visual Studies program at Pacific Northwest College of Art. She has most recently exhibited work in Coaxial, a group show in Commons Gallery and Lens Flare at The Lodge Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
